As a Houston marriage proposal photographer, getting to document the moment Vince proposed to Lorena was so special! The looks of pure surprise and happiness made this moment the best! While we love documenting all the beautiful Houston weddings, it is so fun to witness all the moments that lead up to the big day!!
Vince wanted to propose to Lorena at McGovern Centennial Gardens, which is one of the most gorgeous gardens in Houston. It is stunning!! Owned by the City of Houston, the gardens only let you propose in one place: the Celebration Garden. How sweet is that? After the proposal, you can run around the rest of the gardens, taking photos. As a Houston marriage proposal photographer, it is so important to document not only the proposal but the emotional moments after that too! The joy the couple shares is so special!
But what’s a surprise proposal without a surprise?! This proposal was one of the craziest ones to date! We decided on a time for the proposal, and as Friday approached, of course, the traffic did too! I mean, it was nuts! Lorena wasn’t motivated to leave the house, and as the time approached, so did the nerves, for everyone. The park closed at 5 pm, so time was ticking! They arrived right at 4:50, and we could all breathe a little! Of course, Vince and the family were stressed and nervous, but everything turned out beautifully!
Both Vince and Lorena’s family and friends were hiding during the proposal and popped out after she had said yes. It was so much fun seeing the surprise on her face. That is one of my favorite parts about being a Houston marriage proposal photographer! The PURE surprise! Even if you have a feeling you’re getting engaged, there’s nothing like the moment when it’s all happening! So special.
