70’s Sunshine Editorial at The Luminaire | Houston Texas

Saturday, August 21st, 2021

You know what I love? I love trends that remind me about time periods that had cool fashion and fun texture, especially when it comes to wedding editorials. This 70’s sunshine editorial at The Luminaire takes all the best things from the 70’s and showcases it in a gorgeous way! I am talking woven invitations, table numbers and signage. With flowers and a painted cake to match! And it is all done in shades of yellow, orange and pink, so it feels like you are looking at sunshine. I paired with Whimsical Events, a wonderful Houston wedding planning team, for this shoot, and we had a freaking blast planning the details! The talent that we brought together for this shoot was amazing, and I love how it all came together. And the cool thing? We were featured on Brides of Houston both online and in print!

We brought in a bright velvet textured linen from House of Hough in sunshine yellow to the table, which made all the florals by College Park Flowers pop! What I love most about the table setup though are the dreamcatcher place cards that were done by Oh My Paperie. These place cards are so freaking unique and stunning, that every frame I captured just popped off. Paired with wooden chargers and pink plates from A Finer Event, and the table looks too good to eat at.

And can we talk about how gorgeous the couple is in this shoot? These two got married during the pandemic but didn’t get professional photos of themselves at the time. So by doing this shoot, they were getting their first photos as a bride and groom! And we couldn’t be more pleased to capture this. Ronelle looks absolutely stunning in the gown from Unbridaled. And her hair and makeup was on point! One of my favorite hair and makeup artists, Nyoka Gregory Beauty, was the talent for this look. And she created magic!
