When Megan and Amedeo were describing to me their wedding, I knew it was going to be a wildly elegant Austin wedding! They rented this amazing house in Marble Falls, and hosted their closest friends and family. It was a sprawling huge home, with an infinity pool that overlooked the lake. Elegant Austin Wedding
Megan got ready in the master bedroom of the house, with hair and makeup happening in the bathroom. Her wedding gown was delivered that morning, and was hanging, ready for us to capture. Megan was sipping on wine, enjoying the music and being pampered, surrounded by her favorite people! There was an air of happiness and excitement as she was getting ready!
Amedeo was downstairs relaxing, playing on the piano when I found him. As the caterer, planner and guests worked around him, he played away! It was awesome to see him be this sea of calm around the chaos! Once it was time to get ready, Amedeo got ready in a different room than Megan and we took him outside for some photos of himself with an Alfa Romeo car he rented {and looooved}. It’s an Italian car company, so it totally fit!
First Look and Portraits
Megan and Amedeo had their first look out on the grounds of the property. The grounds were large enough that it was intimate and romantic. Megan’s cape on her gown floated perfectly in the photos. We did pictures on the grounds and by the Alfa Romeo car. Throughout the photos Amedeo kept whispering to Megan how beautiful she was. Seriously, they were so excited to be getting married!
After their first look, we headed to the back yard, where Amedeo had specifically requested family pictures with the backdrop of the lake. The awesome thing was that since most of the family was staying at the house, everyone was mostly ready to go! There were a few stragglers, but I heard they might have been up late celebrating the night before.
Ceremony
The ceremony site was so so gorgeous! Megan and Amedeo wanted to have the backdrop of the lake for the ceremony, and it was perfect! They didn’t need any embellishment, the pathway to pool was lined with trees, and that’s all they needed. Guests sat on each side of a garden. Megan was walked down the aisle by her father, and doesn’t she look so stinkin happy??
Megan and Amedeo wrote their own vows and some of my favorite lines were about each of them loving each other for who they are. Megan commented on how Amedeo is able to handle her when she is feisty, and Amedeo said he loves how Megan makes him feel. I love it when a couple writes their own vows and personalizes the wedding in this way. Those that attend the wedding have had a front seat to the couple’s journey, so they laugh and cry with the couple because they have witnessed all the things being said. Ugh my heart!!!
Cocktails and Reception
Megan and Amedeo really put a lot of attention to the food and drink of their wedding. Their food had a seafood focus, with my personal favorite being the lobster ravioli. I swear, it was the best ravioli I have ever had! Megan and Amedeo chatted with their guests before dinner and made a great speech before digging into the dinner.
Overall, it was a gorgeous wedding for a couple who wanted to share the day with those they love best in a really unique spot! Don’t you love this elegant Austin wedding??
