If I haven’t said it before, I will say it now, the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center is perfect for engagement photos! This place is nice and large, has tons of nature, a lily pond with turtles, I could go on. Justin and Jaquelyn wanted some place that felt natural, was pretty and had good light. And if you remember Jaquelyn, I posted her gorgeous bridal session at Rice University the after wedding day because I have no chill! I am so excited to share this Houston Arboretum and Nature Center engagement session.
We met at the Visitor’s Center and started at the lily pond. After the pond we started our hike for cute spots. The cool thing about this spot is that you can hike for well over 2 miles. It’s part of Memorial Park, which is over 155 acres.
We found some great spots as we walked, my favorite being the tall grass that found near the end. Since we did the session in March, it wasn’t blooming like crazy yet, but it was still beautiful!

I love how Jaquelyn’s dress matches all the shades of green we did photos in. Dark woodsy area? Perfect! Tall grass? Gorgeous! Overgrown lily pond? Stunning! My favorite part of this session is how happy and in love they look. It definitely carried over to their wedding day!
So tell me, for this Houston Arboretum and Nature Center engagement session, which spot do you love the most?
