As a Houston engagement photographer, I get to document so many unique and special love stories. One of the best things is getting to see each person’s personality shine so brightly during an engagement session. The love is in the air, you are happy to be celebrating together, and there is just so much joy surrounding an engagement. Celebrating with Jordan and Joseph was so much fun! It was such an honor to be their Houston engagement photographer, and it was such a joy getting to know these two better!
We started their day at Charleston Lane for more formal engagement photos and ended with FUN at Margaritaville for a drink and cute dock photos. So much FUN! They have the cutest love story, and I am so excited for them to finally tie the knot! It all began at a restaurant that Jordan worked at, and Joseph frequently visited. Joseph loved that “Jordan was just so bright and shiny and was really easy to talk to. Also her butt.” Jordan loved that “Joey was always very cute and kind and charismatic and continued to be kind and never give up even when I turned him down a few times”. *cue the tears*
The Proposal
Joseph says, “Jordan’s 4 favorite things (in no order) are: butterflies, snowglobes, Blue October and her sister Tessa. I made a custom snow globe of me on one knee with orange butterfly glitter instead of the snow and put a custom music box in the bottom that plays our song (Calling You by Blue October). I proposed during the monarch butterfly migration on a trip with a couple of our friends and her sister.”
When I asked them what they admired about each other, Joseph said, “I love how much she cares about people. She is constantly thinking about other people and how to make people’s day better. She is genuinely the most kind hearted person I’ve ever met.”
Jordan mentioned, “I love that Joey is such a hard worker and is so driven to do his absolute best. He always tries his hardest and does what he can to help with anything and with any person. He talks to everyone and reaches to everyone with kindness. He’s a huge dork and he’s never afraid to be himself. He’s also very good at reminding me to take a break and take it easy every now and then when I need it.”
And when I say their love for one another was flowing through the air, I mean it! They describe themselves as a bougie and fun couple and they are all of that, and so much more!
