What’s it like to work with them on the wedding day?
For us, we have a team of 3 (myself, second photographer, assistant)! We are organized, and meticulous, but also super fun and adaptable. No wedding day runs perfectly, and we have a team that is ready for whatever happens. The assistant keeps us on the timeline (as well as capturing content and setting up lighting). There will always be jokes and enthusiasm coming from us, we want your day to be light and fun!
What’s your approach? How do you approach posing a couple?
I have tried and true poses I like to do consistently that are romantic and beautiful, but I also look at how you as a couple come together. If one of you is much taller than the other, then that changes how I pose you. If someone exists in a larger body, that changes my approach. I always ask how you want to FEEL when you look at the photos and base my poses on your response.
How do you prepare for a shoot, especially at a new location?
I look online for inspiration, sometimes I will visit the location ahead of time if I have the time, and I will bring lots of gear (think reflectors, flash, different lenses) to make sure I am prepared for anything that might happen. Having captured weddings and sessions for over 10 years, I am pretty adaptable to any situation and will communicate if I have concerns.

How are images normally selected and processed for delivery? And approximately how many images do you select/edit?
I take the images I select very seriously and deliver only the very best. This is part of the art of being a photographer. I look for emotion first. Good emotion? Are you serving? Do my insides squeal when I look at that photo? You’re getting that photo. Next, I look to see how great you look. If you look incredible, the composition is doing its job, I am delivering that photo. I avoid repeats unless it is in black and white. I don’t want to overwhelm you with too many photos, either. I usually deliver 50 images an hour or more on wedding days and between 80–120 images from an engagement session.
