When Lauren inquired she was so enthusiastic and mentioned Taylor and her loved Harry Potter. I mean, talk about starting off on the right foot! But then she got into the details of their Ashelynn Manor wedding and I knew it was going to be a seriously emotional and romantic wedding. We had fun together from the very start with their Houston skyline engagement session at the Sabine Street bridge. They popped champagne and drank out of Chick-Fil-A cups! Lauren and Taylor met through mutual friends while at college. Their first date was a formal at his fraternity, and there was something in the air that night because they have been inseparable since! When I asked them what attracted them to each other initially, they both talked about the other person being kind, and that stuck with me. These two have this deep connection and it is obvious in all their photos.

Lauren and Taylor’s wedding day was one of the most emotional weddings I have captured to date. The tears started when Lauren put on her gown, as her mother buttoned her up and helped her put on her pearl ring. As they tried to compose themselves, we moved onto Lauren’s first look with her father and this was truly the most touching moment. Her father started crying before he saw her, and Lauren’s mother brought over tissues to him and they shared a kiss just before Lauren turned the corner to see her dad. As she tapped her dad on the shoulder, both of them cried as they saw each other for the first time. I am not mincing words when I say that everyone on my team was tearing up.

The emotion didn’t let up, as the ceremony was just as emotional! Taylor cried as he saw Lauren walk down the aisle, as did her father when he hugged her at the end of the aisle. Throughout their vows, the sniffles in the crowd were evident. After Lauren and Taylor shared their first kiss, the tears turned to joyous smiles and the celebrating and speeches were on point! Also, I feel the need to highlight their cake topper as it is a Harry Potter reference! The cursive “Always” was the perfect, magical touch!

As the guests danced the night away, Lauren and Taylor snuck out for some night photos around Ashelynn Manor. Then these two shared a final, private last dance where Taylor cried once more. As they had a sparkler grand exit, Lauren and Taylor’s Ashelynn Manor wedding came to a beautiful close.
