Harry Potter wedding quotes are timeless. And magical!! The words in these books have a special place in my heart, and I feel like what is written could be put into someone’s vows, even without it being, you know, weird! Some books or movies don’t translate as well, but I feel the following 5 quotes really could be mixed in, no problem.
After capturing quote a few weddings with Harry Potter themes, some of my favorites include this Harry Potter wedding at the Dunlavy, as well as this Ravenclaw wedding editorial at The Oak Atelier, and this really fun engagement session at Discovery Green that had a Harry Potter wand fight. You can even find this Slytherin inspired editorial featured on People that we captured! Still a favorite to this day! All of these couples loved this blog post and felt it helped them get in the mood for their wedding.

Quote 1
This quote by Dumbledore could mix in perfectly with a paragraph about fate and choosing to have someone in our lives. Marriage is us making our own families, so this quote works well with that. I love how this Harry Potter quotes does this so simply!We can’t choose our fate, but we can choose others.
Quote 2
Another fun way of saying that you will stick with the person you are marrying through thick and thin, richer or poorer etc. Bonus points if you say this quote in the Hagrid accent though! Of all the Harry Potter quotes I have listed, this one feels the most unifying.What’s comin’ will come, and we’ll meet it when it does.
Quote 3
This is a great way to talk about how you will stand by each other. You could get into the ways you will act to support your spouse and keep yourselves united. It could be little things like watching Harry Potter annually or big things like always listening to their perspective during a fight.We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.

This one is a little stuffy for wedding vows, but it still works! It could be used to compliment the character of the person you are marrying, I know when I married Robert, part of our ceremony touched on each other’s character and our love for it. Of course now I wish I had incorporated one of these Harry Potter quotes in there!It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.

We are definitely using “always” instead of “I do” in our wedding ceremony. It is so simple, yet so complete.
We always close our letters, etc with “Today, Tomorrow and Always” so it fits us but we had never thought of changing those two small words until now. Thank you so much for being a beautiful inspiration!!!
