Grace and Chase were a match made in Starbucks heaven. No, seriously! Grace is a store manager of a local Starbucks and when she was working night shifts, Chase would come in. Obviously they hit it off, and coffee chats turned to dates. And here we are! With me writing about this adorable engagement session at Mercer Botanic Gardens. Have you been to Mercer Botanic Gardens? It’s a literal playground for wedding photographers when capturing engagement sessions. There are tons of tall trees, gorgeous gardens and water. I fell in love with this gorgeous park a long time ago when I captured Stacey + Jorge’s Mercer Botanic Garden engagement session.
Fun Facts about Grace and Chase
- they are foodies and love eating at places like Jinya Ramen and Jimmy Changas
- they both love animals, specifically doggos
- they have both worked for Starbucks
- they both love Marvel, Grace also loves Lord of the Rings and Chase s=loves Star Wars. Talk about having great taste!
Engagement Session at Mercer Botanic Gardens
When we were discussing locations for their engagement session, Grace specifically wanted there to be greenery and flowers. There are a lot of locations in Houston that fit the bill, but they really liked the look of Mercer Botanic Gardens.
Of course, with Houston being Houston, we had to reschedule the first date in mind for the session. Thankfully for the second date, everything worked out! The weather was gorgeous and we had the best time.
Grace and Chase wore a super cute/dressy outfit of a purple dress and suit and tie. Most of my couples wear at least two outfits for the engagement session, and this was the same for Grace and Chase. Their second outfit was more casual, wearing jeans and tops.
Overall it was an adorable engagement session at Mercer Botanic Gardens!
