This Austin engagement session was beyond perfect! Maddie and Jack joined me in the beautiful Hill Country to celebrate their engagement, and we had so much fun. The best part?! Chasing sunsets with the cows! This Austin engagement session was beyond fun and the perfect way to celebrate this sweet couple.
How They Met
Jack is in the military and is gone quite a bit, so a good portion of their relationship has been long-distance. But the distance has nothing on these two! They met on Hinge and have been inseparable ever since. Jack mentioned, “I matched with her because the first photo on her profile was a picture of her at a hockey game. big hockey fan and in the Real world: her smile, it lights up a room”. When I asked Maddie what attracted her to Jack, she said, “…at first was his eyes and then getting to know him, I fell in love with his personality, he is so caring and made me feel like the only girl in the world.” And trust me, the love between these two was so special!
Their Dreamy Proposal
Their proposal story feels like a movie scene! You know those movies where you just KNOW it’s giving you that perfect ending?! That’s Maddie and Jack. “We were in New York visiting Jack’s family and he decided to take me ice skating on the coldest day of the trip. The ice skating rink was outdoors in the middle of downtown Albany at the Empire State Plaza. On the 6th round of skating , Jack got down on one knee in front of the I heart New York Sign.”
A Love So Pure
When getting to know my couples, I love to ask what they appreciate and admire about each other. It’s a chance to get to know them better and gives me a small glimpse into their unique love. I LOVE reading about each one and it is so special to see their love firsthand! Jack mentioned, “what I appreciate about Madison is that she is a planner and phenomenal chef. What I admire is even tho she aspires to be a stay at home mom, at her current job she is a hustler and hard worker. What I love about her, is her family first mentality and her personality (aka she’s funny as shit)”. LOL!
Maddie mentioned, “What I appreciate about Jack is that he is a good listener, [whether it’s] advice, need opinions or just need someone to rant too. What I admire is that he puts his life on the line everyday for our country and loves what he does. What I love about him is [his] sense of humor and how caring of a person he is. I also love that while I tend to be the more stressed an[d] anxious one in the relationship, he is always calm and reassuring.”
