When we were planning Allison + Jared’s enchanting Houston downtown engagements, they knew they wanted a few photos at their home with their cats before heading downtown. And Oh my gosh! You know I love pets, so I was all in.

When I arrived, Allison and Jared had put their cats in bows and it was soooo adorable. As a cat mom myself, I tried to become best friends with their three cats while I- was here. I am a sucker for cats, ok?? Plus, can we talk about that Game of Thrones “Mother of Cats” mug? I need one!
Allison and Jared wanted photos that were cozy and comfortable in their home. And I think we nailed it! Their home is a really cute and I especially love their porch. But most of all? I love how these two look so happy in their home.
While we took the photos, they told me how Jared proposed. It was during a getaway to Galveston, during that weekend Jared took Allison for a walk after dinner on the beach and proposed. Love how simple and romantic is was!
Enchanting Houston downtown engagements
Then we headed to my favorite rooftop in Houston, I am sure you recognize it from other Houston downtown engagement sessions I have done there!
These two rocked it on the root top. They felt a bit awkward (who doesn’t!), but once I started making them laugh by breaking out my British accent, they totally loosened up and we got some totally relaxed, natural photos.
During their photos this Houston couple told me how they met, which was at a geology summer field camp. But their love story didn’t take off until five years later when they were reintroduced to each other through mutual friends. And from what they tell me, they hit it off and just connected immediately!
