This past June I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful wedding at the St. Regis Houston. Fresh from Andrea and Robert’s engagement session two weeks previously, I knew they were going to be a fun, romantic couple to work with. As you know, this was great for me because fun couples are so easy to photograph! Better yet, they were set to celebrate at one of the most beautiful wedding venues I’ve ever set foot in. I may have been more excited than they were! I mean who wouldn’t be for their white + dusty blue wedding at the St Regis Houston?
White + Dusty Blue Wedding at the St Regis Houston
Andrea and Robert got ready at St Anne Catholic Church, where they were getting married. Andrea had a beautiful bridal suite and Robert a side room. Both areas had great photographic opportunities! The ceremony itself was in the gorgeous church. It was a traditional Catholic ceremony, with touching speeches mixed in. And the church was a gorgeous backdrop for portraits of Andrea and Robert!
The ceremony space was gorgeous and had soft, beautiful lighting. The reception area is where the restaurant area, with tons of natural light. Andrea and Robert had a mariachi band greet them when they arrived and played for them throughout the cocktail hour and first dances. It was a unique touch to the wedding! The reception was decorated beautifully, my favorite being the tall floral arrangements. Or maybe it was the food! Ha ha probably both. You guys know I am a foodie!
The best thing though? It was the obvious love between Robert and Andrea. Every photo of them together is filled with so much love. And I love their portraits! You can see how fun and romantic they are.
