Laura and Justin’s wedding at Iron Manor is one for the books! I met Laura at the Bridal Extravaganza and we hit it off right away. She loves Harry Potter and wanted to have a magical wedding. When I met her, the venue hadn’t been solidified and they had some fantastic ideas for the location. They landed on Iron Manor at the end, setting up the most magical Harry Potter wedding you could ever think of! And boy did we luck out n the wedding day for their weather, it was sunny and not too humid, which is a miracle in Houston.
Houston Wedding Couple Justin & Laura
You will remember these two happy lovebirds from their Harry Potter inspired engagement session at St. Arnold’s Brewery. They had a wonderful time drinking beers and adding in magical elements like a time turner and wands. Justin and Laura met through friends at a house party. They didn’t get together right away though, Laura was hesitant, but Justin finally won her over! Both of them have big hearts and you could feel it by the way they were with everyone on their wedding day.

Laura and Justin went the extra mile on their wedding day for their Harry Potter touches! They hired Lisa from A Finishing Touch Events and she helped bring their Harry Potter vision to life. The biggest thing that Laura wanted was an owl to deliver the rings during the ceremony. When I tell you that finding this vendor was hard, it was hard!! But Lisa pulled through and hooked them up. On top of having an owl for the ceremony, Laura and Justin decided to have every house color as their wedding colors, so jewel tones ruled the day.
Their wedding florist Pearls and Roses understood the assignment and had beautiful bouquets for the women, as well as stunning stems for the ceremony and reception space. The greenery on the crane looked so good mixed with the flying keys dangling from it. Added to that, Laura and Justin had themed signs on each table, with references to Hogwarts houses to other notable places like Florish and Blotts, as well as wands mixed in. Lastly, every table was a certain house color, and the napkins were folded to look like golden snitches. I was obsessed!
And don’t get me started their cakes. The main wedding cake had silver flecks and the doe and stag which calls back to the patronuses in the books. On the top, it says “After all this time? Always”. Then the groom’s cake was sushi themed with a deathly hallows crest on the front in silver. Seriously, Cinnamon Jar Cakes did an amazing job!
Justin and Laura danced the night away and had a blast, thanks to DJ Ramone. He did an awesome job and went out of his way to make sure the music was rockin’! Laura and Justin ended the night with a sparkler exit, and I think the sparklers they picked up looked like magic wands. A perfect end to a magical day!
