If it isn’t obvious at this point, Mercer Botanic Gardens is a popular place for engagement sessions! In fact two blogs ago I was talking about the springtime engagement session I did there with Sapphire and Jose. The gardens have so many beautiful nooks that each session there is unique. I had such a great time capturing this lovely engagement session at Mercer Botanic Gardens with Jennifer and Nathan! Let’s talk about why it was so great.
Engagement Session at Mercer Botanic Gardens
It was a gorgeous day, and the butterflies were out in abundance! Jennifer wore this lovely flower print dress and Nathan looked so handsome in his jacket and slacks. They took a lot of effort to look their best for the session. We walked the grounds and discussed the best places to do photos. They brought some books with them as reading and books are a big part of their relationship.
In fact, these two met online, with Nathan reaching out to Jennifer about Stargate SG-1. And it took off from there, a passion for similar TV shows, books and movies. It is super similar to how Robert and I bonded initially!
When it came to the proposal Nathan knew Jennifer is obsessed with her dog so he incorporated her in the proposal. She always greets Jennifer when she gets home at the door, so Nathan tied the ring and a bow to her collar and it was the first thing she saw when she got home from work.
I freaking love it when animals are incorporated into the proposal!
